Clement graduated from the University of London with a LLB (Hons) degree and obtained his Certificate of Legal Practice in 2012. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor in High Court of Malaya in September 2013.
In 2018, Clement joined Messrs. EZ Pang & Co. as a partner of the dispute resolution and family law practice.
His portfolio of work covers from banking dispute resolution, bankruptcy & company winding up, land acquisition, land, immovable property & tenancy disputes, corporate, commercial & contract disputes, employment disputes & industrial relations, divorce proceedings, matrimonial disputes & adoption, wills & administration of estates.
Clement has extensive experiences in advisory services as well as extensive representation in Court involving different kind of litigation matters for various segment of clients, such as individuals, financial institution, public listed company and foreign clients.
Clement is also a member of the Malaysian Bar Council National Young Lawyers & Pupils Committee and Kuala Lumpur Bar Publications Committee.
His notable experience:
- Advised, acted and negotiated for client in relation to administration of a deceased’s estate worth approximately RM37 millions.
- Acted for landowners, and successfully evicted squatters and supervised the peaceful demolition temple illegally built on a piece of land.
- Successfully defended and acted for client in matter of fraud and factory land ownership disputes.
- Acted for and successfully assisted clients in the adoption of children, including a child from Thailand.
- Acted for numerous landlords and successfully evicted defaulting tenants and recovery of possession of their properties.
- Advised and acted for domestic financial institution in matters such as routine debt recovery and foreclosure proceedings.
- Advised and acted for client in resisting land acquisition by government.
- Advised and acted for client in opposing claim of failure to make a take-over offer/mandatory offer under Capital Markets And Services Act 2007 and the Malaysian Code on Take-Overs and Mergers 2010.
- Advised and acted for numerous clients in debt recovery claims and enforcing guarantee against directors who are corporate guarantors.
- Providing legal support to joint management body in relation to strata management issues.
- Advised and represented clients in various contested and uncontested divorce proceedings, child custody disputes and maintenance applications.
